A Bib Gourmand for Plaza Khao Gaeng

alt

We're proud to share that our Thai mezzanine restaurant, Plaza Khao Gaeng, has been awarded a Bib Gourmand from Michelin.

The Michelin jury awards a Bib Gourmand to restaurants that achieve a high standard of food, but at reasonable prices. Plaza Khao Gaeng's variety of Southern Thailand's coast-to-jungle cuisine made a lasting impact on the judges, and they recommend the Miang Phuket (coconut and betel leaf wraps), the Massaman (beef shoulder) – or the fiery Klua King Muu (dry wok fried pork).

Michelin commented on the fact that many of the herbs and spices that are woven through the dishes are grown in Executive Chef Luke Farrell's greenhouse in Dorset, bringing true Thai flavour, without the air miles.

Describing the dishes as 'wonderfully authentic', and 'punchy' , you can book to try for yourself here.
